Supplier List E-mail Donnie Page 2

Not everything fits every application. Here the forward controls touch the inner primary plate. Not a good situation.

I started with a Paughco chopper frame (part #: 140S5-48BX), which is extended up 8” and forward 4” in the top tube. It has a 40-degree rake and is setup for a 5-speed Softail transmission case. The engine mount is centered in the frame but the transmission mount is designed to be offset 1-1/2” to the left. Keep that in mind when you order the transmission plate and a primary drive system.

Paughco frames are built in a large,ever-expanding facility just outside of Carson City, Nevada, where owner Ron Paugh keeps a close eye on production and quality.
Paughco has its own plating facility, which helps control the quality as well as the cost. As a result you can be assured of the same great quality with the purchase of every part.

For protection, I decided to use a ribbed engine guard (#360A) from Paughco (like in the old days), especially since the bike sits rather low. Paughco is the only supplier I have found that still makes this item and it only costs about $26. It’s cheap insurance considering the cost of engine cases these days.
